What Is An OD?

An optometrist is an eye doctor who has earned a Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree. They examine eyes for both vision and health problems. OD's work with refractive errors and maintenance and/or treatment of eye diseases. They are also licensed and held to the same standard as medical doctors. Some OD's also provide low vision care and vision therapy.
