Our Story & Heritage

Located at 431 Bertucci Blvd. in Biloxi, MS, our primary clinical facility broke ground in 1993 and officially opened its doors to patients in 1994. Designed by architect Khalil Hassan under the vision of founder Gregory E. Bertucci, MD, the facility was custom-built from the ground up specifically for specialized ophthalmic care.

Spanning over 10,000 square feet, the original structure features an iconic vaulted-ceiling waiting room and a spacious, open-air clinical exam area. Designed to deliver a comfortable and seamless patient experience, the clinic is continuously upgraded with the latest state-of-the-art diagnostic and laser technologies for treating a comprehensive range of ocular conditions.

In 2009, Dr. Bertucci expanded the practice to offer patients the convenience of same-day outpatient eye surgery. Construction began on a modern, dedicated surgical facility attached to the main clinic, culminating in its official opening and full accreditation by the QUAD A Ambulatory Surgery Center Accreditation in April 2010.

Spanning over 4,000 square feet, Popp's Ferry Outpatient Surgery Center was engineered with patient safety, comfort, and surgical precision at its core. The facility includes:

• Two Full Operating Suites: Fully equipped for advanced cataract, refractive, and specialized ocular surgeries.
• Dedicated Nursing Stations: Customized Pre-Operative and Post-Operative care bays for rapid, attentive recovery.
• Advanced Structural Safety: Integrated compartmentalization for fire protection and an reinforced on-site safe room for storm protection.
